Our latest healthy recipe 👏😋 - our delicious Our latest healthy recipe 👏😋 - our delicious Salmon, Avocado & Rice Bowl, a super easy, healthy, and colourful meal! Nutritionally balanced and full of flavour, it’s perfect for a weeknight dinner or a even a packed lunch, as it only takes 15 minutes to make this delicious dish from scratch. Here's the health benefits of just a few of the ingredients: SALMON – rich in anti-inflammatory omega 3 fatty acids, which are excellent in soothing inflammation, especially in conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Essential fatty acids also play a key role in repairing cells and tissues which may have become damaged, including the skin and the gut tissues. AVOCADOS – a rich source of vitamin E which is a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, helping to protect the skin from free radical damage. Also rich in fibre, which helps normalise transit time in the bowel, thus helping to prevent constipation. CORIANDER – great for chelating and mobilising toxins out of the body, which will help to clear up skin breakouts.
You gut health is linked to the health of your skin – when toxins build up internally, this can cause skin eruptions, especially if IBS, constipation and ‘leaky’ gut are in evidence. It’s important, therefore, to keep your fibre levels up, aiming for 30g per day, and to drink plenty of water to ensure you have a daily bowel movement. For more of our healthy, gut-healing dishes, download our gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free recipes in the bio. You will find healthy breakfasts, lunches and dinners for meat eaters, fish eaters, vegetarians and vegans. We hope you enjoy this delicious rice bowl, and any of the other tummy-friendly recipes that you decide to try out.
If you have any questions about food choices to suit your digestive needs or any of our products, please do get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you! Linda and the Tummy Team

Signs and symptoms of bowel cancer. #bowelcanceraw Signs and symptoms of bowel cancer. #bowelcancerawarenessmonth
Did you know that constipation, if left untreated, Did you know that constipation, if left untreated, can lead to a range of health risks, such as: • increased risk of ‘leaky’ gut (toxins leaking from bowel into the bloodstream affecting so many organs and systems of the body)
• increased risk of bowel infections
• increased risk of bowel perforations
• increased risk of diverticulitis
• increased risk of bowel cancer
• not forgetting headaches, bad breath, bad skin, weight gain, fatigue, mood, bowel prolapses, and acid reflux from pressure exerted on diaphragm/stomach? It’s a sobering list, isn’t it? Chronic constipation is akin to carrying a bag of raw sewage around with you, and in very severe cases, people can get faecal vomiting, where they literally vomit poo due to a blockage in the bowel.
You can see why it is important not to ignore constipation. The good news is that many cases of constipation can be successfully treated by eating a diet high in fibre, eating good fats, drinking more fluids, and exercising daily. When it comes to constipation, food really is medicine. What you eat can be highly effective in preventing or reversing chronic constipation. If you aren’t consuming enough fibre, this could be why you are constipated.
Let’s take a closer look at fibre: As fibre is indigestible, it adds bulk to the faeces, making it more easily pushed along the digestive tract. There are two broad types of fibre; soluble and insoluble. • Soluble fibre helps to soften the faeces. Good sources of soluble fibre include legumes, fruits and vegetables.
• Insoluble fibre adds bulk to the faeces, helping it to move more quickly through the bowel. Good sources of insoluble fibre are found in wheat bran, wholegrain breads and cereals. If you don't think you're eating sufficient fibre, then consider taking two of our Fibre tablets half hour before lunch and two half hour before dinner, with a large glass of water, but wait until this Saturday to purchase because we will have them on sale. I wanted to share Sam’s story because it is a pe I wanted to share Sam’s story because it is a perfect example of the type of enquiry I get – day in, day out. From people who have had symptoms for many years, made countless visits to their GP, undergone a barrage of tests, but still have no definite diagnosis or idea as to what could be causing their symptoms. This can be frustrating and worrying for the person struggling with what can be life-limiting symptoms. Sam tried many different supplements, but it was only when he began taking our Just For Tummies ones that he began to feel a reduction in his symptoms. You can read Sam's full story in the bio link. Linda

Since 1997, April has been recognised as IBS Aware Since 1997, April has been recognised as IBS Awareness Month. During this time, both conventional and complementary health practitioners, as well as the many IBS support groups and organisations work to focus attention on important health messages about IBS diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life issues. A further aim of this awareness month is to reduce the stigma associated with IBS by encouraging people to talk more about this condition. While IBS is by no means a life-threatening illness, it can certainly be life-limiting in the negative impact it has on a person’s quality of life. If you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), you are not alone – IBS is common with prevalence estimated at 10% –15%. Yet many people remain undiagnosed and unaware that their symptoms indicate a medically recognised disorder.
Throughout April, Just For Tummies will be dedicating our live videos, newsletters and social media posts to IBS to help those of you with IBS understand what caused it and how you can resolve symptoms naturally without having to resort to drugs. I was thrilled to see that one of the awareness we I was thrilled to see that one of the awareness weeks in March is National Complementary Therapy Week. It’s a relatively new addition to the calendar, having first been celebrated in 2020, and aims to shine a light on all forms of natural health and the many therapies carried out by complementary health professionals. I am a firm believer in taking a more varied approach to traditional health practices – a well-rounded complementary therapy treatment process takes into account a multitude of different factors that can result in a positive outcome, not only to the condition being addressed but also to an individual’s overall health and wellbeing. In my 30+ years of experience as a complementary health practitioner, I have treated many thousands of people and I have seen first-hand how empowered they are, as complementary therapies allow them to take a more active role in their treatment and recovery, in partnership with their therapist. To some, complementary therapy may conjure up visions of slightly ‘out there, woo-woo’ therapies, alongside the misconception that what we offer is an alternative therapy. Complementary therapy is anything but an alternative or a replacement to conventional modern healthcare treatments; it is actually quite the contrary. Complementary therapy serves as a useful tool to assist people alongside their conventional medical treatment, not instead of. I liken complementary therapy to a wellness package, be it nutrition, exercise, colon hydrotherapy, acupuncture, aromatherapy, reflexology, nutritional therapy, herbal medications – it’s about finding the right balance for each individual to not only have their needs met, but exceed them. As a complementary health professional, my goal is to work alongside conventional medical health practitioners to create solutions for my patients. I will always refer back to a GP or specialist if I think further investigations are required. Similarly, I regularly refer people for complementary therapies as I know how these simple practices can bring life-changing results, improving overall health & wellbeing. The pic is of me in the early 1990s embarking upon my career in complementary therapies.
