My Winter Warming Gut Healing Turkey Curry is a quick and simple way to use up your leftover festive turkey, and is packed full of flavour and important nutrients to keep your tummy feeling settled over the festive period. If you have indulged in more rich, heavy food in the lead-up to Christmas, not to mention the big meal(s) that many of us will eat on the actual day, this recipe is the perfect way to offset some of the damage you may have inflicted upon your tummy and eat a healthy dish while still enjoying some festive cheer!
Ready in under 45 minutes, this popular recipe, which we share annually, is a great way to use up your turkey leftovers, and if you don’t have any turkey leftovers, this tasty recipe can be made with leftover chicken or pre-cooked turkey instead.
So long as you haven’t frozen your cooked turkey before making this recipe, you can freeze this curry – making it a great option for an easy midweek meal. Just defrost for 24 hours in the fridge then cook on a low heat in a saucepan, bring to the boil and cook for about 10 minutes, until the turkey is piping hot all the way through.
Alternatively, you could freeze your cooked turkey and then make this curry from scratch later in the year.
Either way, it’s nice to know you have some quick, easy, healthy and cheap dinner options throughout the cold months!
