Your guide to a feeling good this festive season

Yes, it’s that time of year already! 🎄

Have you started Christmas shopping yet?  I have! Christmas is such a busy time at Just For Tummies that I have to be very organised.

Christmas certainly seems to start earlier every year. The festive foods have been installed on the supermarket shelves for several weeks already, Christmas menus are being shared across the social channels, and those big fancy advent calendars are popping up in my inbox!

Like it or not, the festive season is underway, which means that November has become an important time to start thinking about how to look after yourself, particularly if your social calendar is filling up. While Christmas often means fun, family, parties and a little indulgence, it can also bring a few challenges for our digestive system, gut health and overall wellbeing.

That’s why we’ve got lots of wellbeing-focused content planned for November, from specially curated festive supplement bundles and practical advice from me to a delicious festive recipe.

Here’s what’s coming up:

Get festive-ready with our seasonal supplement bundles

festive bundles

In the run-up to Christmas, routines change, meals become a little richer, late nights become more frequent and our usual healthy habits can sometimes slip.

That’s why we’ve put together four targeted festive supplement bundles, designed to help you focus on different aspects of your wellbeing as we head into the season.

Festive Bowel Balance Bundle

With changes to our diets, less movement and disrupted routines, bowel habits can sometimes become a little unpredictable over Christmas. Our Festive Bowel Balance Bundle is designed to help you prioritise regularity and support your everyday bowel health.

Festive Immune Support Bundle

Winter means colder weather and more time spent indoors with others, which can weaken our natural immune defences. Looking after your general health and maintaining a balanced routine become especially important. Our Festive Immune Support Bundle brings together three supplements to help boost your body’s normal immune function.

Festive Digestive Support Bundle

Rich meals, festive treats, eating out and the occasional extra glass of something can leave us feeling bloated or uncomfortable. Our Festive Digestive Support Bundle is designed for anyone wanting to give their digestive system a helping hand during the festivities.

Women’s Festive Wellness Bundle

Between work, family commitments, social plans and the pressure of making Christmas special for everyone, it’s easy to put your own needs last. Our Women’s Festive Wellness Bundle offers a way to prioritise your wellbeing, with three supplements that focus on women’s health – helping you to feel your best throughout the season.

All four bundles will come with great savings, making it a lovely opportunity to try supplements that fit your individual needs without paying full price.

And they’re definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a thoughtful Christmas gift. We all have that friend or family member who keeps saying they’ll start looking after themselves a little better. Perhaps this could be a gentle nudge in the right direction!

Your November watchlist

This November, we will be sharing lots of content on how to manage the festive season, enjoying a few tasty treats but without your gut paying the price. We will be sharing our Snog, Marry, Avoid – gut health edition – and an interview with customer Tim whose acid reflux has completely cleared up after taking just two of our best-seller supplements, plus lots more including the wellness trends that I’m not following!

How to avoid festive bloating: Linda’s tips for a happier tummy

Bloating – it’s one of those common digestive complaints that can become particularly noticeable during the festive season.

One minute you’re enjoying a lovely Christmas lunch, and the next you’re unbuttoning your jeans and wondering why your tummy feels so uncomfortable!

Bloating can have several causes, including eating large meals, swallowing air while eating, certain foods, constipation and individual digestive sensitivities.

I will be taking a closer look at festive bloating this month, with more advice on how to support your digestion without feeling as though you have to miss out on all the fun.

If bloating is persistent, worsening or accompanied by symptoms such as unexplained weight loss, blood in your poo or significant pain, seek medical advice rather than assuming it’s simply festive indulgence.

A festive recipe to enjoy without feeling sluggish

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a few tasty treats, would it?

I’m sure we’ve all experienced that familiar sugar crash, uncomfortable fullness or sluggish feeling after indulging, you’ll know how the aftermath can take the shine off a lovely festive treat.

This November, we’ll be sharing one of several delicious Just For Tummies festive recipes that put a feel-good twist on seasonal indulgence. Our seasonal recipes are special while keeping a few simple nutritional principles in mind, and avoiding an unnecessary overload of added sugar.
