Bloating & Wind
If your tummy feels more and more bloated as the day goes on, you’re not alone. Bloating and wind are among the most common concerns we hear at Just For Tummies. Supporting digestion and gut health is often the first step towards feeling lighter, more comfortable and more confident, especially after meals.

What causes bloating and excessive wind?
Bloating can leave your tummy feeling full, tight or swollen and uncomfortable, while abdominal distension causes it to look visibly larger. A build-up of gas is one of the most common causes, but bloating may also be linked to constipation, sluggish digestion, food intolerances, hormonal changes, certain medications in particular strong antacids or an imbalance in the gut microbiome. Certain supplements can help support more comfortable digestion and reduce feelings of fullness or trapped wind.
Common symptoms
- A swollen, distended or uncomfortable tummy
- Feeling unusually full and bloated, even after a small meal
- Excessive wind, burping or belching
- Tightness, pressure or cramping in the abdomen
- Rumbling or gurgling noises
- Clothes feeling tighter around the waist
- Bloating that becomes worse as the day progresses
- Discomfort that improves after passing wind or opening the bowels

“This is the first time I have used the Charcoal tablets after a prolonged and painful IBS flare up. It took less than 2 days for my pain and discomfort to disappear. My tummy became much flatter and I regained my appetite. I will definitely buy these again. They are in easy to swallow capsules and vegan friendly. ”
