While I know that many of you reading this have been long-standing, loyal Just For Tummies customers, there are still a number of you who are new to our family-run business. Welcome to the Tummies community! I hope that you have been able to find solutions to your gut and digestive health issues, or help a loved one improve their physical and mental wellbeing with one of our popular supplement protocols.
Just For Tummies was founded by me, Linda, in 2015. In this video, I talk about how I came to develop my range of Just For Tummies supplements. It certainly was not part of my ‘bigger picture’ plan; I was very happy and extremely busy running a successful digestive and gut health disorders clinic. I was not thinking of becoming an entrepreneur in my mid-50s! But life is unpredictable; you can set all kinds of life goals and targets, but at the end of the day, we never really know what course our lives will take, or what lies ahead of us. That said, no one was more surprised than me when I suddenly found myself at the age of 55 and setting up another business.
To be honest, running Just For Tummies is an enormous responsibility, and it has certainly had a big impact on both my work and home life since its inception. The initial commitment of hours when I was still running my clinic and simultaneously preparing to develop the supplement range and launch the business was brutal! There was no one to delegate responsibilities to, and this took its toll on my energy levels, my relationships with family and friends, and my free time. But my husband, Kevin (who is to blame for the existence of the business, as it was his suggestion!) was at my side, supporting and helping me navigate those challenging early stages. It wasn’t a smooth ride, but I never let go of the vision I had to reach as many people as I could and help them with their digestive and gut health issues.
We are a family business, with our son Colin also playing a key role in the team, and to this day, we remain a very small, but well-oiled team. When things get tough, we are there for each other for emotional support and understanding. We all feel very passionate about delivering a very high standard of customer service. Providing tailored advice and recommendations takes time and energy, but when we hear back from customers who have experienced such positive outcomes and say that they have got their life back, then I know that it’s all worth it. I have to say that maybe Kevin was right after all!
