Supplements that resolved peri-meno symptoms

Linda talking about self-care

Hormonal changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause can trigger digestive, gut as well as other symptoms you may never have experienced before or exacerbate existing ones. This is what happened to Anita and her Coeliac Disease symptoms when she contacted me.

Anita told me how the digestive symptoms that she had been managing to varying degrees of success since her Coeliac Disease diagnosis had significantly worsened when she hit perimenopause, to the point where she was bloated and struggling with bouts of diarrhoea on an almost daily basis.

In this video, I talk about Anita’s experience, the supplement protocol that I recommended for her symptoms and the lovely testimonial she wrote when she came back to me with her progress report about a month after starting the supplements.

Whenever someone with Coeliac Disease seeks advice on the best supplements to manage their symptoms, I always stress the importance of taking the ‘power duo’ of Live Bacteria capsules and Digestive Enzymes tabletsone Live Bacteria capsule before breakfast and one before bed with a little cold water, and one Digestive Enzymes tablet before lunch and another before dinner. This combination helps to support proper digestion and absorption of nutrients and does a fantastic job of reducing uncomfortable gassy bloating as well as calming down debilitating episodes of diarrhoea.

Unfortunately, in many cases, it takes a long time to get a confirmed Coeliac Disease diagnosis, and many people struggle for years, going through misdiagnoses, which causes further damage to the villi lining the small intestine. I explain more about villi damage in the video and why it can have such a negative impact on digestive health, in particular the absorption of nutrients from food.

A 5-day Charcoal cleanse, which I also recommended to Anita, can be very helpful in settling an upset tummy and getting rid of any irritants in the gut that may be triggering the diarrhoea. You can read more about the benefits of activated Charcoal and how to carry out the cleanse by downloading our free Activated Charcoal Fact Sheet.

A daily Omega 3 fish oil capsule can also be very helpful when it comes to keeping inflammation at bay. Omega 3s contain essential fatty acids and these are crucial to help heal acute and chronic inflammation. The body can’t make essential fatty acids so if you don’t eat oily fish, please consider supplementing. Just one capsule daily with food.

Here’s Anita’s testimonial in full:

“I contacted Linda at Just for Tummies on a recommendation, and I am so glad that I did.

As someone with coeliac disease, I have always had problems with my digestion and have tried lots of different remedies and therapies over the years, with little success. Then, when I hit perimenopause, my symptoms worsened to the point that I was suffering from severe bloating every day, coupled with bouts of diarrhoea.

On Linda’s advice, I began a regime of the Just for Tummies Live Bacteria probiotics, Digestive Enzymes tablets and Charcoal capsules, and within days the diarrhoea had stopped. The bloating responded equally well to the supplements, quickly lessening before disappearing altogether.

I am delighted with the results and incredibly grateful to Linda for her kindness, help and support. She is someone with a genuine desire to help others and demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of her field. It has been a pleasure dealing with Linda and her company, and I have no hesitation in recommending Just for Tummies and their excellent products. Truly life-changing!
