Seasonal Survival Starts Now!

Seasonal Survival Starts Now! The festive period is by far my busiest time of the year, both in my digestive health clinic and with my Just For Tummies supplement sales. January is my busiest month in the clinic, together with many other colon hydrotherapists up and down the land I’m sure, with people having booked their colon hydrotherapy treatment months in advance.

January is a great time to have a colonic, to clear out any painful trapped gases as well as solid wastes that may be hiding in the pockets and pouches of the bowel, causing irritation and potentially inflammation. The treatment certainly gets the new year off to a great start and is perfect alongside detoxing, eating healthy fresh food and starting an exercise programme.

I think it’s a real shame that for many, Christmas and the New Year festivities can be a source of stress and anxiety. People that suffer with digestive and bowel disorders like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chronic bloating,  trapped painful gases, constipation, indigestion and heartburn, find the festive period challenging.  Who wants to go out with friends and colleagues at Christmas when your belly is as big as a balloon, and your frightened you may inadvertently pass embarrassing smelly gas! Christmas dinner with the family can be an equally stressful affair, especially if you have to dash off to the loo half-way through due to urgency to have a poo.  Mortifying for many people. But, it doesn’t have to be this way. Knowing how to prevent a flare-up of IBS, and preventing bloating, constipation and indigestion is the key to having a great Christmas and very happy New Year.

To help people enjoy the seasonal festivities, my popular Seasonal Survival Kit is now available to purchase on the Just For Tummies website.  At this time of the year I put together three of my most popular and effective digestive and gut health supplements so that you can ‘eat, drink and still be merry‘.  The Kit contains a full size 60 capsule pot of my Live Bacteria probiotics, with species of bacteria proven to reduce bloating and abdominal pain, a full size 60 tablet pot of my plant-based Digestive Enzyme, to help stop that uncomfortable after-dinner gas, indigestion and bloating, as well as reducing constipation and weight gain, a full size 60 tablet pot of my Milk Thistle tablets to help your liver break down alcohol, and 6 FREE Tummy Tea pyramids to soothe and calm your tummy when it and you are feeling anxious.

During the months of November, December and January, the stresses of Christmas, not to mention the amount of rich food and drink can affect even the most strongest of digestive constitutions, and let’s face it most women want a nice flat tummy to feel confident in their LBD (or the M&S moon and stars dress we’ve all been trying to get our hands on) and sparkly heels. They want blemish-free skin and lots of energy, not just to party and have fun, but to get all the preparations ready for Christmas, shopping, trimming up, wrapping presents, cooking Christmas dinner, and plenty more to do besides! Did you know that on average, we consume around 6,000 calories on Christmas Day. There’s no wonder the paramedics and A&E Departments are kept on their toes with an increase in heart attacks on Christmas Day.

My seasonal product of the month is my steam-activated Charcoal capsules. Made from coconut shells, vegan/vegetarian-friendly, and gluten and dairy-free, each of these magic capsules contain 334mg of steam-activated charcoal powder. When charcoal powder has been steam-activated, it increases its surface size, and this makes it even more effective. I liken charcoal to a powerful vacuum cleaner, in its ability to deep clean the intestines, much like a vacuum does for our carpets. Charcoal helps absorb trapped painful gases, thereby reducing bloating and abdominal pain.  It’s a great pre-Christmas and post-Christmas supplement and can be used in January in conjunction with my 30 day detoxing and healing Perfect Balance Kit.

All my Just For Tummies products are made in the UK, are vegetarian and vegan-friendly (with the exception of my super-high-strength Omega 3 fish oil capsules), and are gluten and dairy-free.
